About Me
My name is Jose Jimenez and I was born in Salinas, California. Growing up I lived in Mexico for several years, but would consider Long Prairie, MN my hometown. Throughout high school I began to notice a real passion in math and solving problems analytically. There is a beauty in math and the way in which it presents itself in the world that surrounds us. I want to instill this in my students by helping them realize how they might be able to utilize math in their own lives.
After high school I chose to attend the University of Mary where I studied in Rome for one semester. While in the Rome Program I was able to visit a few other countries including Germany, the Czech Republic, and France. I also had the beautiful opportunity to read at a Papal Mass with Pope Francis while in Rome. Spending time with my beautiful wife, family and friends is one of my favorite things to do. They taught me how to persevere and develop a great work ethic. They have also instilled my faith in me. This continues to remind me of the humility and respect with which I approach everyone. |
